Search Tips

Advanced Search: All You can currently only search the Lepidoptera (butterfly and moth) type specimens, Archives and Mineral collections. New collections, items and specimens are being added regularly. To see the full extent of records in a collection, perform an empty search. To discover a general description of the Archive collections catalogued search for "fonds" in either the simple search or in the level of description field in the advanced search. Entering search terms in multiple fields produces an AND search, returning records that match the combined criteria. Use an asterisk (*) for a wildcard search and quotation marks to search for a complete phrase (e.g. "geological table"). If you do not get the search results that you expect, please check your spelling.
