Advanced Search: Life Collections You can currently only search the Lepidoptera (butterfly and moth) type specimens in the Life database. New collections and specimens are being added regularly. To see the full extent of records in a collection, perform an empty search. Entering search terms in multiple fields produces an AND search, returning records that match the combined criteria. Use an asterisk (*) for a wildcard search and quotation marks to search for a complete phrase (e.g. "types & paratype"). If you do not get the search results that you expect, please check your spelling.
