Corsi 399, approx. 145 x 73 x 40 mm, © Oxford University Museum of Natural History

OUMNH Number: 399
Name and quarry location: Breccia corallina giallastra from Verzirhan, Bilecik,Turkey or breccia Godoy
Geological description: Polymict limestone conglomerate. Clast boundaries and contacts sutured. Note stylolites and extensive calcite-filled fractures.
Comments: This is a rather less fractured form of the stone called breccia corallina giallastra in Borghini (1997; 168) who states the provenance is unknown. It may be Breccia Godoy; which may possibly be a variety of breccia corallina, also illustrated in Borghini (1997), but the limestone appears to be different.
