OUMNH Number: 483
Name and quarry location: 'Breccia traccagnina di Giazza', locality unknown; possibly the Verona area, Veneto, Italy
Geological description: Polymict limestone breccia-conglomerate with solution modified clast boudaries.
Comments: The Verona/Vicenza area, Veneto, Italy is indicated as the provenance by the black number painted on the reverse (see pdf of further information about Verona specimens). It looks very like breccia traccagnina (nos. 396, 398), and William Brindley says it is not from Verona. If is is breccia traccagnina (for which provenances are generally unknown) that would be a fair presumption. However in that case, it would be unique among the 'black number' specimens in not coming The Verona/Vicenza areas.
