Name and quarry location: Giallo di Pigozzo, from Pigozzo, Val Squaranto; Verona, Veneto, Italy  
Geological description: Burrowed fossiliferous micritic limestone with foraminifera and debris probably of bivalves.  
Comments: The Verona/Vicenza area, Veneto, Italy is indicated as the provenance by the black number painted on the reverse (see pdf of further information about Verona specimens). Corsi's name is a mis-spelling of Pigozzo, in the Squaranto valley. There are various quarries for building and decorative stones in the valley, although Jervis (1889) does not refer specifically to Pigozzo.
