Name and quarry location: Gesso di Faenza, from Faenza, Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy  
Geological description: Calcite-cemented breccia with small angular gypsum clasts, patches of micritic limestone and smaller dark grains.  
Comments: Faenza, in Ravenna, is probably correct. Jervis (1889) refers to two localities in the vicinity of Faenza; Riolo and Brisighella, both yielding large quantites of gypsum.
