Name and quarry location: Lavagna antica, locality unknown  
Geological description: Fine-grained siliceous rock with a few carbonate grains; The aggregates of orange-brown crystals are almost certainly relics of pyrite crystals; elsewhere, the pyrite is visible. Slate is not confirmed.  
Comments: This stone is not believed to be from Egypt.
