Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Giuliana, from Giuliana, Palermo, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Breccia or red jasper clasts in a white quartz/agate matrix, re-fractured and cemented with colourless crystalline quartz containing scattered inclusions of green chlorite.  
Comments: From Giuliana, where many varieties of jasper and agate were obtained. See Jervis 1881 and 1889.
