Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Taormina, from Taormina, Messina, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Quartzite, coloured red by iron-bearing solutions emanating from fractures.  
Comments: This is not a jasper, and really belongs with Corsi's 'arenaria'.
