I’ve chosen this column in the court, because it’s like a scene from a children’s story. Big beetles are running up some unfurling leaves, and lying in wait is a cheeky looking weasel, round the corner is a bat, also hidden, and another creature which looks as though it has a scaly head; it’s like they’re playing hide and seek. Two of the beetles are being gobbled up. The longer I work in this building the more I notice about it, the leaves unfurling on the pillars upstairs in the upstairs gallery, the forestry feel when you look across the museum from upstairs. It sometimes feels like it's alive and growing when you’re not looking.
