My favourite area of the Museum is the Westwood Room viewed from the top of the south stairs. I have chosen this space because to me it offers a glimpse into the on-going, or ‘behind the scenes’ area of the Museum. Walking past this area before working here, the tall wooden cabinets and ‘endless’ drawers sparked my imagination of the hidden treasures inside, and fuelled my curiosity to discover. As well as this, the beautiful furniture including the cabinets, fireplace and ornate borders, reflect the history the museum, and the great care and effort, which went into their workmanship.
