Mallard Ducks

This pair of mallard ducks takes up residence on the museum lawn each year in spring or early summer. Birds are theropod dinosaurs that evolved during the Jurassic Period, around 150 million years ago. I like the juxtaposition of seeing these modern day birds sitting next to the casts of footprints of the Jurassic dinosaur Megalosaurus.
