The Triassic and Permian

Fossil
Did you know what this fossil was?

The specimen you clicked on was the skull of an ancient amphibian called Trematosaurus. It probably looked like like a giant salamander or newt. It was found in Germany in rocks that formed at the beginning of the Triassic period.
