| Name and quarry location: | Palombino antico, probably from Turkey, but perhaps from the Apennines of Italy |
| Geological description: | Biosparite limestone with abundant bivalve fragments. It fluoresces yellow strongly under longwave ultraviolet light. |
| Comments: | Palombino antico may be correct although we are informed that it doesn't normally contain macrofossils and is darker in colour. Locality uncertain; if it is the true Palombino, it is possibly from the Apennines of Italy. |
