Fossiliferous burrowed biomicrite limestone crowded with bioclasts, spar-filled bivalve and gastropod shells. Colour mottling is diagenetic.

The Verona/Vicenza area, Veneto, Italy is indicated as the provenance by the black number painted on the reverse (see pdf of further information about Verona specimens). No place called Carteletto has been located, and Corsi may mean Castelletto, ie Castelleto di Brenzone. Brentónico, in Trentino, about 20km northeast, has been suggested as the correct locality.
