| Geological description: | Fossiliferous biosparite limestone. A lumachelle of rolled, predominantly bivalve debris, recrystallised in part, and with subsidiary other skeletal debris. |
| Comments: | Nos. 228 and 229 are different varieties of this same Mesozoic limestone which was very rare and highly prized by the scalpellini of Rome. |
