| Geological description: | Fossiliferous limestone. The matrix is microspar/micrite; crowded with whole and fragmentary brachiopod (probably terebratulid) and bivalve debris, which is commonly recrystallised or replaced by sparry calcite. |
| Comments: | The Monte Rossa to which Corsi refers, is in the Euganean Hills, but the rocks there are volcanic. This specimen is a typical lumachella di Verona, the locality also indicated by the painted number on the back of the specimen (see Verona.pdf for more information). It is one of a number of specimens that reveal Corsi’s confusion about localities in the Veneto region. |
