Name and quarry location: 'Alabastro fiorito', locality unknown  
Geological description: Compact finely banded calcite travertine. A hot spring deposit with some bands containing dendritic iron oxides, probably the result of cyanobacterial activity.  
Comments: This is probably not the stone that would today be called alabastro fiorito (see Corsi no.301).
