Name and quarry location: Pietra dell'Etna, from Mt. Etna, Catania, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Olivine basalt/trachybasalt. Dark grey porphyritic lava with phenocrysts of plagioclase, olivine and pyroxene (all variably altered) in a fine-grained equigranular matrix. Rounded vesicles have zoned infills of hematite and calcite.
