| Geological description: | Sheared metagabbro, the diopside and actinolite-tremolite both coloured bright green by trace chromium. |
| Comments: | No.700 (q.v.) is a good example of the most precious Corsican smaragdite. This sample is rather less metamorphosed, and more heavily fractured. Light green areas are coloured wax. |
