Perhaps from either Palazzo Adriano, Province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy mentioned for jasper by Jervis (1881, 1889), from the nearby Feudo Adriano; or from Adrana in Catania both mentioned by Montana (1998). Tata (1772) has two samples from 'Adriano'.
