Jasper - a silicified ferruginous limestone, with agate-filled voids and patches of creamy white crystalline calcite. Goethite forms spherular inclusions in orange jasper.

Perhaps calcedonio di Volterra from Monterufoli, Pomerance, near Volterra, but it is more likely to be Sicilian, matching ‘Diaspro rosso e giallo fiorito di Sicilia' in Corsi’s tabletop of modern marbles in the Natural History Museum, London.
