Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Giuliana, from Giuliana, Palermo, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: A fractured banded yellow and green jasper breccia, matrix and fracture fills are part chalcedony part colourless quartz. Microfossils are abundant in bright yellow areas.  
Comments: One of the most characteristic of all Sicilian jaspers, this brightly coloured jasper, which can have red banding as well, is from Giuliana, Province of Palermo, Sicily. Other samples are in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, and shown in Montana (1998).
