Name and quarry location: Rosso di Caprino Veronese, from Caprino Veronese, Verona, Veneto, Italy  
Geological description: Limestone, probably of Cretaceous-Tertiary age; a burrowed nodular biomicrite crowded with skeletal grains. Note the extersitu stylolite development.  
Comments: The Verona/Vicenza area, Veneto, Italy is indicated as the provenance by the black number painted on the reverse (see pdf of further information about Verona specimens). 'Coprino' is almost certainly Caprino Veronese.
