OUMNH Number: 246  
Name and quarry location: Lumachella di Lipari’; locality unknown. Not from the Lipari islands, Messina, Sicily, Italy.  
Geological description: Fine-grained limestone crowded with largely spar-replaced bivalve shells and fragments. There are no igneous grains.  
Comments: The Lipari islands are volcanic, and would not be the source of this limestone.
