Name and quarry location: Marmo ovara bigio di Bolca, from Monte Bolca, Val d'Illasi, Verona, Veneto, Italy  
Geological description: Fossiliferous biosparite limestone with abundant small nummulites. Also present are diverse bethic forams, algal and molluscan grains.  
Comments: The painted number on the back of the specimen confirms a Verona/Vicenza provenance for this limestone (see Verona.pdf for more information). Monte Bolca is probably correct.
