Name and quarry location: 'Corso della mola di Sant'Ambrogio', from Sant' Ambrogio di Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, Italy  
Geological description: Recrystallised, probably originally bioturbated, micritic or microspar limestone with extensive stylolites and calcite filled fractures.  
Comments: This is probably the 'corso gentile' of artists referred to by Jervis (1889) from Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. A very similar stone from this locality is in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien collection.
