Name and quarry location: Serpentina delle Alpi, perhaps serpentina di Valmalenco, from the Alps, and perhaps Valmalenco, Sondrio, Lombardy, Italy  
Geological description: Serpentinite with rounded grains and granular aggregates of grey oxide mineral in dirty-yellow to blue-green serpentine. Two weak foliations evident.  
Comments: Almost certainly from the Italian Alps; perhaps serpentino di Valmalenco from the quarries at Chiesa di Valmalenco, Lanzada or Torre di Santa Maria, in Valmalenco, Lombardy, Italy.(L,P)
