Name and quarry location: Marmo rosso d'Abruzzo, from Abruzzo, Italy.  
Geological description: Burrowed bioclast-rich biomicrite limestone.  
Comments: Jervis (1889) describes red and pink compact limestones used for construction and ornamentation from the 'Provincia d'Abruzzo', so Corsi's provenance is probably correct.
