Name and quarry location: Petrified wood, locality unknown  
Geological description: Wood with bivalve borings (mainly visible on sides of specimen) infilled with limestone, the whole subsequently silicified. Note scattered pyrite crystals in borings.  
Comments: No particular provenance can be suggested as petrified wood comes from many different places. This specimen appears to have faded where exposed to light.
