Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Misilmeri, from Misilmeri, Palermo, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Brecciated jasper. Heavily fractured clasts are green or transparent with patchy yellow inclusions. Cement is crystalline quartz and pale green microcrystalline calcite. Dark brown and dark green speckled areas are filler.  
Comments: From Misilmeri, Prov. di Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Jervis (1881) describes a green, white and yellow jasper from this locality. Tata (1772) lists samples from Misilmeri but not of this colour combination.This specimen is very similar to no. 775 from Cassaro.
