Geological description: Fine-grained hornblende biotite granodiorite; just possibly a variety of the Aswan granodiorite from the Precambrian basement rocks.
Comments: This stone may possibly be Harrell's variety 'b' of the Aswan granites and granodiorites described on his website, found at a number of localities between Aswan and the Shellal district, but it is very atypical.
