Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Sicilia, from Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Banded jasper, perhaps originally oolitic ironstone or limestone. Cavities and fractures are filled with colourless quartz.  
Comments: This is from Sicily, and may be from Giuliana in the Province of Palermo.
