Name and quarry location: Granito antico, very possibly granito bianco e nero gabino, from Bir Umm Fawakhir, near Wadis Hammamt and el-Sid, Eastern Desert, Egypt  
Geological description: Granodiorite.  
Comments: It has been suggested this is an atypical example of the granodiorite quarried at Bir Umm Fawakhir in ancient times and known as granito bianco e nero gabino after Gabii, an ancient city near Rome, where it was used.
