| Geological description: |
Limestone. A molluscan biosparite crowded with whole and fragmentary brachiopods (probably terebratulids) and bivalves, replaced by sparry calcite. A few gastropods are evident, and it has stylolites.

| Comments: |
The location ‘presso il lago di Como’ is somewhat misleading. This is almost certainly lumachella di Verona from Val Pernise, near Grezzana in the Val Pantena; no.265 is another specimen from this locality and gives more information. The painted number on the back of the specimen also indicates a Verona/Vicenza provenance (see Verona.pdf for more information).
