OUMNH Number: 952
Name and quarry location: Breccia di Siena, from Siena, Tuscany, Italy
Geological description: Sheared polymict limestone conglomerate. The shearing may have been synsedimentary: Solution seams and stylolites are pervasive. Perhaps a sheared debris flow.
Comments: This is the brown breccia that used to be obtained from Siena. There is a little yellow in some clasts but not as much as in no.480, another example of this stone.
