OUMNH Number: 447
Name and quarry location: Breccia del Lago di Garda, from Lake Garda, and perhaps from Brentónico, Trentino, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy
Geological description: Limestone; a burrowed nodular biomicrite crowded with skeletal grains, with extersitu stylolite development. Dark brown area is filler.
Comments: The Verona/Vicenza area, Veneto, Italy is indicated as the provenance by the black number painted on the reverse (see pdf of further information about Verona specimens). It is almost certainly from Brentónico, on the shores of Lake Garda.
