Name and quarry location: Diaspro tenero di Sicilia, pietra topografica di Taormina, from Taormina, Messina, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Micritic limestone or marl with diagenetic colouring. Veins and fractures are filled with calcite.  
Comments: This stone has not been recognised by authorities on modern stones, but it is found among collections of ancient marbles, in some referred to as diaspro di Sicilia. It is a variety of diaspro tenero di Sicilia, the Sicilian 'soft jasper'.
