Name and quarry location: Serpentina dell'Elba, from the island of Elba, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy  
Geological description: Dark green serpentinite with colourless plagioclase porphyroblasts.  
Comments: Serpentinites form part of ophiolite complexes on Elba and various other places in the Italian Alps. They can be difficult to distinguish, one from another.
