Name and quarry location: Serpentina delle Alpi, from Perhaps the Western Alps  
Geological description: Sheared serpentinite with oval augen (former pyroxene) and fairly abundant iron oxide. Shear fabric is present throughout, but one part of sample has paler (leached) serpentine.  
Comments: From the Alps; possibly the western Alps.
