OUMNH Number: 778  
Name and quarry location: Sicilian jasper, diaspro di Giuliana, from Giuliana, Palermo, Sicily, Italy  
Geological description: Brecciated jasper. Red hematitic pellitic clasts are brown, goethitic at margins and along fractures, and are surrounded by milky agate. Matrix is creamy white granular/drusy calcite with patchy iron-staining.  
Comments: From Giuliana, where many varieties of jasper and agate were obtained. See Jervis 1881 and 1889.
