Name and quarry location: Bigio antico, bigio morato, from Sigacik (ancient Teos), Izmir Province, Turkey  
Geological description: Graphitic medium-grained marble with abundant stylolites, showing relics perhaps of crinoidal debris? Specimen is waxed and polished.  
Comments: This sample has been recognised as bigio morato from the ancient Teos in Izmir province, Turkey.
