OUMNH Number: 19  
Name and quarry location: Palombino di Ancona, from Ancona, Marche, Italy is not confirmed but may be correct.  
Geological description: Burrowed micritic limestone with patchily distributed planktonic forams and other bioclasts. It is possibly a variety of 'calcare massiccio'.  
Comments: Corsi's provenance may be correct. A limestone used for construction and manufacture of lime was quarried at Monte Conero, according to Jervis (1889). A similar stone labelled argilla bianca called Palombino of Ancona is in Corsi's table of modern stones, in the Natural History Museum, London.
