| Name and quarry location: | Colombino della Punta Pina, from Punta Pina, island of Elba, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy |
| Geological description: | Brecciated, micritic limestone with extensive calcite-filled fractures. |
| Comments: | The locality given by Corsi is probably correct although a sample of 'Sienna marble' (sic) in the Yorkshire Museum is very similar in colour and fracturing. Zuccagni-Orlandini (1842) describes the veined flesh-pink and grey marble of Punta Pina, on the north coast of Elba. |
